Whitby Golf Club is a members club which also welcomes non-member visitors. The main aim of the club is to play golf, and it also provides an environment for social activity. All age groups are catered for. New members are always welcome.
The club offers a range of indoor sports, together with a social club and excellent function and meeting rooms. Originally a target shooting club, we now have in addition indoor short mat bowls and quoits together with the tradition bar games of pool, dominoes and darts. We take part in local, county and national competitions.
There is an active social program, featuring live music and entertainment at weekends, together with quiz nights and bingo evenings. Although a Private Members Club, visitors are always welcome in a warm, comfortable and inviting environment. Our bar offers excellent value to members and visitors.
The club has excellent function and meeting rooms with chairlift access to all levels, available to non-members and is ideally suited for parties, receptions and meetings, with refreshments provided as required.
The club is open each evening from 7pm and at other times during the day by arrangement.
Whitby Wanderers IFC are the supporters' team of Whitby Town FC, a semi-professional club currently playing in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division (English Level 7 North).
We accept players of all ages(16+) and abilities, though expect them to be supporters of Whitby Town FC and only travel via Town away games when possible.
Whitby Wanderers are fully committed to promoting good relations between fellow supporters and football clubs.

The Club was established in 2007 by Sion Parry and Jeremy Carter. Both Sion and Jeremy share a common interest in Basketball. Particularly Sion who has played in the top tier of the English National League. We are Whitby's only basketball club and currently comprise of just one team, an under 16s team. However we are looking to grow and would welcome youngsters including girls from all age groups above 8 years of age. We compete in a Whitby and Ryedale Central Venue League where we have experienced some success. We train on a Monday evening at Whitby Leisure Centre and on a Tuesday at Whitby Community College all session are run by Level 3 Coach Martin. We run 2 training sessions at Whitby Leisure Centre, Mondays 4.00pm – 5.00pm ages 8 – 12yrs and 5.00pm – 6.00pm ages 13 – 16 all sessions are run by Qualified coaches.
The club was established in 1932 and offers a full programme of sailing and powerboating through the season, with a good number of races, competitions and events. A lively social scene and a welcoming atmosphere makes Whitby Yacht Club the perfect place to enjoy the sport of sailing on the Yorkshire Coast.
Our club house is located in an enviable position on Pier Road above the RNLI Museum and provides an excellent town centre position as well as providing unsurpassed harbour and sea views.
