Campaign against local bus cuts - public meeting 8th October
Proposed cuts to bus services
All residents concerned about the North Yorkshire County Council’s proposed cuts to bus subsidies in and around Whitby are welcome to a public meeting to be held on Thursday 8th October in Goathland Village Hall at 6.30 p.m. Come half an hour early if you would be willing to be in a photo.
Bus services affected are the 93 between Scarborough and Middlesbrough, the 840 Coastliner running from Whitby to Leeds, the DR18 from Glaisdale to Guisborough, DR10 Esk Valley to Whitby and the 99 Whitby to Lealholm route.
There will be a chance to find out more and discuss your concerns with parish, borough and county councillors, as well as with a representative from Coastliner, and Richard Owens from the NYCC Integrated Passenger Transport Group.
The consultation period is officially over but many people are still not aware of how these changes could affect them. Please contact the Moors Bus Campaign Group if you need help with transport to the meeting firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0779 1479 309
