Typetalk is the national telephone relay service which enables deaf, deaf blind, deafened, hard of hearing and speech impaired people to communicate with hearing people anywhere in the world by providing a link between the text phone user and the hearing person, via BT TextDirect.

Similarly a hearing person wishing to call a text phone user would dial 18002 followed by the full number (including STD).
