Yorkshire Coast Social Enterprise Network

Are you a social enterprise?

A social enterprise is a business with social or environmental aims that re-invests any surpluses to further develop its objectives, rather than distribute profits to shareholders. Examples of social enterprises are co-operatives, and voluntary and other community sector organisations, but the list is much wider than that!

As a Community Interest Company, The Dispensary is a social enterprise. We meet regularly with other local social enterprises in the Yorkshire Coast Social Enterprise Network, which is currently facilitated by Seachange Community Trust, a charity which supports voluntary and community groups and runs community projects and buildings.

At the Social Enterprise Network we share our experiences, information and ideas with the aim of supporting each other.

Why not come along to the next meeting on September 27th 2012 at The Gallery Room, The Green Lane Centre, Whitby, 6 – 8.30p.m. and find out more about how we can support each other. Speakers will include Lucy Muir from The Hayshed Experience, Commondale and Nigel Staton from Whitby Disablement Action Group (DAG.)

For more information contact Seachange at post@seachange-community.org

We hope to see you there!
